Chance, we believe, is a Mastiff German Shepherd Cross and will be 4 in April. Chance is neutered and was brought to Hull’s Haven Border Collie Rescue as an owner surrender. He was chained up for a large majority of his life with no room to run or play. Since Chance has been in foster care, he has shown great improvements and has learned that he can trust people. He comes when called, sits, lays down, shakes paw and stays. Chance is house trained. He allows his paws to be wiped when he comes in from outdoors. He walks well on a leash and only jumps up when invited.

He is protective by nature and needs to be properly introduced to new people but has not yet been introduced to young children. He does well with other dogs and cats. He loves attention and giving and receiving affection. He would make a great companion for someone who has extra love and attention to give. He loves getting belly rubs, giving kisses and being brushed. He does not do well in a kennel, but we have found that he is well behaved when left out on his own (non-destructive and no accidents). Do to his past, he can never be crated.

As Chance is medium energy, he would do well in a large fenced yard, and when joined outside, he is happiest and in his element. Chance is a larger boy, weighing in at around 50 lbs.
